Chair
Angela Parks has been a Board Member since October 2004 and is Chairman of the Board and Vice-Chairman of the Operations Committee. She joined the Board after completing her MBA. Angela’s background is in the private sector working for companies such as IBM and Capita. She spent many years as a project manager working on multi-million pound business transformation projects for blue-chip clients. More recently she has been responsible for Business/Corporate Services and in 2007 she moved to work in the housing sector as Corporate Services Director for Merlin Housing Society following the stock-transfer from South Gloucestershire Council.

Vice Chairman
Chris Franks was appointed to Glos HA’s board in May 2007 and is Vice-Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Operations Committee. Chris is one of two representatives of Glos HA on the Board of Guinness Hermitage and is a member of the Board of Gloucestershire Land For People which is part of the community land trust movement. Chris is very committed to the principles of Social Housing and in particular to homes for rent and has a very strong belief in tenant and community engagement.

Ken Turner
Ken Turner has been a Board Member since October 2004. Ken currently runs his own business, buying, developing and renting out commercial premises. His background is in procurement, specialising in the commercial aspects of contract management. Ken is a Justice of the Peace and also a mentor for the Prince’s Youth Business Trust. |
John Harries
 John was appointed in April 2009 and is a former partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers. A Trustee of the Guinness Trust from 1992 until 2004. John was formerly Chair of Guinness West Region Board from 2004 to 2007, and Vice Chair of Cotswold and Vale Primary Care Trust from 2001 to 2006. Until 2009 John was vice chair of Guinness Hermitage and Guinness Care and Support.

Sid Pritchard
 Sid has been a member of the Board since December 2005. He chairs the Gloucestershire Housing Society, our charitable subsidiary and is one of two representatives of Glos HA on the Board of Guinness hermitage. He served in local government for over 42 years and was formerly the Managing Director and Treasurer of the largest District Council in Worcestershire. Sid is a non-executive Director of the Gloucestershire Probation Area and member of the County Council’s Members Remuneration Panel. He is committed to putting something back into the public sector.

Mandi Cottam Mandi was appointed to the Board in August 2009. Her backgound has been in operations for the past 10 years, within some large companies in Gloucestershire. Mandi has experience in management, processing & introducing companies to KPI measurements. Mandi enjoys working with customer facing organisations, as she knows customer service is vital to all businesses, especially during economic difficulties. She is now Office Manager for an International Internet consultancy business based in Tewkesbury. Mandi brings a customer perspective to the Board as she is a shared owner with Glos HA, Mandi is committed to putting something back into the public sector. |

Derek Cross
Derek was appointed to Glos HA’s Board in September 2008. He is employed in Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service where he currently leads in the area of service improvement including performance management, organisational and operational risk. He is a member of the Gloucester City Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership, and a Parish Councillor. Derek holds an MSc in Public Service Management. |
