GHA is registered with Registrar of Friendly Societies as an Industrial & Provident Society, (registration number 16921R) and with the Housing Corporation as a Registered Social Landlord, number L0865.
GHA also has a non-registered charitable subsidiary, Gloucestershire Housing Society (GHS). It does not own stock but provides a range of community development, financial inclusion and resident involvement activities that complement the work of GHA.
Both GHA and GHS have their own Boards. GHA Board members also serve on the GHS Board. Both organisations operate under NHF Model Rules with amendments.
Board Membership
GHA’s Board has 10 members of which three are residents and seven independent. The Board is supported by three committees:
- Operations,
- Audit and risk, and
- Governance and remuneration.
